Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue An. Ellis Taylor, American producer and actress. She holds a BA in African-American Studies from Brown University as well as an MFA in Acting from the Tisch School of Arts New York University. Aunjanue Lisa Ellis is a writer and American actor active in the theatre as well as television and film. She started her career acting in the theatre but then proceeded to make appearances in numerous TV shows, as well as independent and mainstream films. The actress gained prominence for her role as Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico. In the following year, she made an appearance in BET's epic TV series The Book of Negroes. She began her career as an actress in 1995 as Ariel as Ariel in The Tempest. On Broadway she was a part of the cast as a character in Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Seeking the Genesis and Joe Turner's Come and Gone. The most recognizable part of her career is her roles in the films Men of Honor as well as The Caveman's Valentine The Express & The Help. On television her regular role in the ABC's crime drama series High Incident has earned her the praise of her fellow actors.
